DESCRIPTION:Tamizdat is happy to announce that our Executive Director Matthew Covey will be speaking on international artist mobility as a U.S. delegate at the upcoming Ireland Music Week\, from September 30th to October 6th in Dublin\, Ireland. \nIreland Music Week is is an annual independent music showcase and conference festival held in Dublin that highlights emerging Irish talent across a wide range of genres\, including indie\, rock\, pop\, folk\, hip hop\, and electronic music. IMW is organized by First Music Contact\, a non-profit supporting Ireland’s independent music sector. \nWe are proud to be present again in 2026\, and will be publishing more details as the program is unveiled!

WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) is the most international and culturally diverse music meeting in the world and the biggest conference of the global music scene\, featuring a trade fair\, talks\, films and showcase concerts\, taking place this year in Gran Canaria\, Spain. Over 2\,600 professionals (including 260 performing artists) come together every October from 90 countries\, making WOMEX the leading networking platform for the world music industry. \nTamizdat Executive Director will be present at the convening leading the Cultural Advocacy Networking Working Group.
